I'm dreaming of a new bathroom!

I just wanted to show you my new bath and other stuff that will be going in my new bathroom! I have dreams about using my nice new bathroom. We have been ‘putting up’ with a horrible, cold, dark, damp, spider infested bathroom for three years now and what's worse, it is downstairs, about as far away as you can get from the bedrooms upstairs!

Here's my new bath! Unfortunately it isn’t usable yet due to the fact that not only is it not plumbed in but the room it is standing in needs a lot of work doing to it! Still, the bath is in position and that’s a start! I can kind of get my head around how the room will look now and how much space I have left to work with. As you can see from the style of the bath, I will be having a vintage style bathroom. The silver on the walls is insulation material.

I wanted a big French style mirror for one of the walls and bought this one in Laura Ashley. It is one of the few vintage style things that shop does now.

This is the radiator/towel rail. It is new but Victorian style

Hopefully my dreams will become reality soon!

  4. Hello Susie, your new bathroom is going to be great, I love that bath and the vintage frame from L. Ashley. In my two daughters bathroom I have put an old bath pretty much like yours... some day I will do a post of their bathroom.

  8. Hi, Susie,
Your bathtub is my dream bathtub. I have always wanted a tub like this. I remember taking baths in a tub like this at my granny's house. The Laura Ashley mirror will be perfect in your new bath. Can't wait to see the completed project! Vicki

  9. I knew your bathroom would have a tub like that! I love the decorating style you're going with. It's just what I would imagine in your cottage! It must be so exciting, making your home exactly the way you want it to be, but also very nerve-wracking. I bet you'll be so happy when it's done!

That will have to go! I must be patient though we are redecorating the entire house ourselves and that takes time! I wish for you to have your new bathroom soon.

  14. It looks like your new bathroom will be fabulous. What a great claw foot tub. My parents had a tub like that in the house I grew up in. You have chosen some really nice accessories too.
