Can you tell what it is yet?

Hello everyone. Have you survived the snow, frost, heavy rain that seems to be pelting down on the world at the moment? Thank you for all your encouraging comments on my last post. I’m happier now! I had been worrying about the results of my yearly mammogram. There was a little ‘glitch’ on my last film so I was recalled to have extra views and an ultrasound scan. Having already had breast cancer I was scared sh**less as you can imagine and the wait for the results has at times been unbearable, but thankfully, all is okay so I feel I can now start getting on with things again! I’m having a piece of furniture made for the kitchen. It is something that I have always wanted and I can’t wait for it to be finished. This is how it looks at the moment. Can you tell what it is? All will be revealed…hopefully in a couple of week’s time!

As I'm into all things mismatched at the moment, as a treat to myself I have ordered this Eclectic Cutlery Set from Contemporary Home. It consists of four knives, four forks, four spoons and four teaspoons and each piece is different.

Finally, I am really pleased to receive an award from the Duchess over at Rose Tea Cottage. I feel very honoured...almost like royalty!! Thank you for thinking of me Duchess.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Susie

  3. I am so glad all is well with your results! I know how worrisome that can be because I've had my share of 'bad' x-rays and have had to have biopsies. You do feel like your life is on hold until all is well again. I love the mismatched look myself. I once bought a matching comforter, shams, pillows and couldn't stand it! What a beautiful award! Congratulations on receiving it! Have a lovely weekend! Twyla

  12. GREAT news on the mammogram results. My sister is a breast cancer surviver and every test she goes in for makes the rest of us sisters hold our breath until we hear the results. She just had her check up for a mammogram and one at the oncologist, and we were thrilled to hear that all was well.

I am soooo in love with your new cutlery set, each and every one a different piece. I love things like that, cuz it allows me to use a different design and color each time, or perhaps pink for my breakfast, blue for dinner, etc. I just am not the kind to like everything matching and lined up perfectly in the cupboards, cuz I feel a little mis-matched in life adds flavor to my day!! Enjoy your new set. hugs, Debby

  16. Hey Susie,
Thank you for stopping by and taking the nature trail with me at my blog!
I am glad to know that your test results came back good. That is wonderful news.

I so enjoyed looking at and reading your posts...your Christmas tree and decor are beautiful...looks like you and your family had such a fun time together. I also enjoyed the pics from the chilly walk...that snow is pretty, and I also spyed some rose plates and dishes that made my heart skip a beat! LOL!

Hope you have a great evening!

  17. Hello Suzie,

Like many others, I think it's part of a dresser. I look forward to seeing more. Always interested in seeing transformations in a house.

I like mismatched whewn it comes to the kitchen plates, glasses or cutlery. I remember my ex-Mother in-law disapproving...She was most offended I laid my table in that way...

    Warm wishes

  18. Susie, I'm so sorry that you had to go through that trauma, but I'm so glad that everything is ok.
Love your mismatched cutlery! Probably because nothing matches in my home! And I can't wait to see what that is that you're having built for your kitchen. Maybe a big hutch, to put lots of pretty teacups on?
Hope you're having better weather now. We have gone without seeing the sun for 8 days now, but it looks like it's trying to peak out today. It's so hard getting motivated when there's no sun!
    Have a great week!

  22. I just wanted to say that I am so happy to know everything is good with your health. I sure know how scary that is. A month ago my husband was told he had "something" showing on the ultrasound for his only remaining kidney. He lost his other one to cancer 12 years ago. Wed he has the biopsy as the Ct Scan, Ct Scan with contrasts and MRI (one each week) have all been "inconclusive" so now we have the biopsy. I am just so happy to know you can get on with you life and your charming blog. Have a blessed day!
